The Little Red Dog, known as “Little Abernathy”, was a promotional staple of Ball Band Jet shoes. Little Abernathy was a red squeaky toy shaped like a ball that barked when squeezed. The toy was attached to a pull string, with wheels on the bottom. Released in the 60’s, these toys were stored at Ball Band shoe stores, given to customers.
