Pseudopods are temporary arm-like projections that some eukaryotic unicellular organisms use for movement and consuming other organisms. Pseudopods act like arms or legs. There are several different types of pseudopods. The green cell shows an example of lobopodia, and the blue cell shows an example of axopodia. Organisms that form pseudopods are called amoebas.
